Château Quintus
About Château Quintus
Formerly known as Château Tertre Daugay, Château Quintus took its new name in 2011, when it was acquired by Domaine Clarence Dillon, owner of the legendary Château Haut-Brion and La Mission Haut-Brion. The name “Quintus” was chosen because it represented the fifth wine in the stable of Domaine Clarence Dillon. The estate sits atop a 62-meter high limestone hillock at the south western end of the Saint-Émilion plateau, prime vinous real estate that counts Château Angélus, Château Ausone and Château Pavie amongst immediate neighbours. Spanning approximately 28 hectares, the vineyards are planted to 66% Merlot, 26% Cabernet Franc and 8% Cabernet Sauvignon. Since the acquisition, Domaine Clarence Dillon has doubled the acreage of Château Quintus and modernized its cellars, elevating Château Quintus to the status it rightfully deserves.

Dominated by Merlot, this is a richly perfumed, ripe and spicy wine. Soft tannins are balanced by plenty of acidity and blackberry fruit. It's full in structure, but still allows plenty of room for the fruit.د.إ661.00 -

A soft, round red with blackberry, chocolate and hints of spice and cedar. It’s medium-bodied with silky tannins and a juicy finish.د.إ754.00 -

One of the firmest, most structured Quintus with lots of beautiful fruit and powerful tannins. It’s a very classically structured red with blackberry and blueberry character. Lavender and spice underneath. Extremely intense. 55% merlot and 45% cabernet.د.إ1,920.00 -

Wow. This is very chalky and salty with lots of mineral character. It shows lots of purple fruit and firm tannins. Racy and bright. Chewy yet fine tannins. Gorgeous. Gets better and better.د.إ1,885.00 -

Brambled fruit, richly textured, with juice that runs through the palate bringing you into the heart of St Emilion. Push and pull in texture between grilled smoky oak and slate-scraping pumice stone tannins, this takes its time to open, well judged and skilfully constructed. 43hl/h yield, 42ha in production since addition of Grand Pontet in 2021. Audrey Bernard joined the technical team in March 2021 direct from Opus One, plus new director Mariette Veyssiere.د.إ1,915.00 -
