About By Farr
Gary Farr is a true pioneer of Pinot Noir. He is one of Australia’s finest and most knowledgeable winemakers with Pinot. His pedigree was built up over decades, first in Australia at Bannockburn, then working 10 vintages at the legendary Domaine Dujac in Burgundy.
In 1994, he channelled all that expertise into his own estate in Geelong, Australia around 100km southwest of Melbourne. He purchased a historic estate, whose vineyards go back to the 1800s. With the help of his son Nick, they are producing world-class single-vineyard Pinot Noir and Chardonnay.

Deepish crimson colour with a good tint of purple on the meniscus. The bouquet is restrained and shy, brooding and deep, all confirmed by the palate, which is also full-bodied and very deep, concentrated and densely packed, with more earth-bound than fragrant aromatics, some smoky-barrel nuances neatly combining with five-spice and dried thyme touches. A robust, powerful pinot with terrific length and potential.د.إ2,155.00 -

Medium-deep red with a good purple tint and a mossy, forest-floor/earthy undergrowth and smoked smallgoods bouquet, the palate refreshingly lively with clean acidity underlying the complex, savoury, medium-bodied flavour. Mixed spices, taut and tense, direct and piercing in its lengthy finale, which concludes with a pleasant touch of chewiness. Superb pinot.د.إ2,080.00 -

Impressively deep, bright red-purple colour, in great shape for an Australian pinot of its age, then the bouquet arrives with a great complexity of smoked charcuterie, root vegetables, dark cherry and blackberry delivered with great intensity and volume. The concentration and depth are outstanding and it's all delivered with great elegance and refinement. The lightness of touch doesn't contradict the power or persistence. A spectacular pinot noir.د.إ1,945.00 -

Deep red/purple, bright and youthful colour. The bouquet shows black pepper, latent dark berries, some 'forest floor' bunchy touches and a hint of freshly-turned earth—a stylish and hi-fidelity varietal nose. The palate is likewise intense and bright, with silky-textured tannins in fine balance, acidity evident and refreshing, inviting the company of appropriate food. Brilliant bouquet and flavour. A stunning wine in an elegant cool-grown style.د.إ1,525.00
